Nothing to do with the Super Cub, but plenty to do with anyone who admires beautiful aircraft.

Just been clicking around and found this thread and viewed the video. Some of the stories are really moving, the chaps that flew missions in these aircraft were very brave and stuck to their flight plan no matter what, despite probably being scared witless. Respect.
Have to agree with Toff though, expecting Michael Flatley to appear at any moment!

Was very privileged to be able to go on board a B-17.Beautiful aircraft. I always thought it was a much larger plane than it actually is. Still a beautiful plane, enjoyed it and admired those who had to go on those long deadly missions, so many never returned , those that did, loved their tough plane.

Magnificent aircraft, only eclipsed by that of a Lancaster in flight and the sound of those Merlin engines. Once heard, never forgotten.
