That's good tape and I use it all the time but unless it specifies UV protected it probably is not and will deteriorate pretty quickly in the sun. I live in Seattle, WA USA and we don't have a lot of sun here either and it still gets ruined after about a year. It gets stiff, yellow(er) and loses it's stick.
