Thanks, very helpful. I am not intending to buy any new batts for a while, I was just having a browse for things that would work. Do you need a different charger for those batts? or does the standarrd SC one work. Also, when using one of the batteries in that link, how does a typical flight differ from using a stock SC battery?
Cheers,

Learn to do math-necessary in this sport, like soldering: The battery has a capacity - 2200mA The charger has an output - 1300mA (I think-I don't own one). 2200/1300= 1.7 hours for a depleted battery.....BUT hopefully you've learned by now to NOT fly to LVC.
Note - I don't know which electronic part in the stock kit is more of a problem, the ESC or the charger. They are both pretty lame.
First principal - Do NOT throw your $$ at planes, everyone's tendency in the beginning. Buy a GOOD TX and GOOD charger. They are the most critical parts of an electronic fleet and you will live with them a long time. If you go too cheap you will just replace them again.....and again....and again...... and be frustrated with them the whole time.
Read the WHOLE thread again. Your answers are already there.
