Hi i am new i have kinda been wanting to get an rc so i got the super cub lp trainer it also has act (now i hear ppl say act is no good) i am not sure as i have onlt had 2 flights the first was ok it did dive but act must have fixed me back up the landing was ok just glide it in small chip but glue fixed it
2nd flight was today it to went well but for some reason i was flying past a tree and went to turn away from it but the plane went straight in to a tall tree i have noticed sometimes it will not climb at times it will have its nose up but not move up could that be the wind? and also if i put the throttle back to say 40-50 % will it give me a better flight as the things go so fast and remember i am new so any tips or things would be a great help to me

Cubs love trees lol If u fly into the wind it should give u more lift when u pull bk on the stick but come out n with the wind plane gets faster and less responsive.. Try more throw on controls for more control?if ur ready Allso i unpluged my act becouse i didnt like catching the switch and act takeing over while inverted not good...use it like a hi/low rates switch on is low throws/off is high, hope this helps n not just confuses :-) Im known for it!?

umm i am not fully sure i understand all that i have worked out that to go higher i really do not have to push up as it climbs up with the speed to max then i can have a nice flight so the key is lil touches of the transmitter not like push it all the way to the side and that soft touches?
well i am back i had an ok few flights up a turn and back down to land just to get used to it went well i was happy then on the last flight it nose dived for some strange reason and now the Fuselage broke in half other then that all good so if i was to get a new fuselage what do i get the bare one and then out it in myself and then add the silly stickers and that or can u buy them with all the stuff installed?

Like the man said, glue your fuselage together. Then cover it with light but strong clear packing tape.
It seems that your experience is yet another example of what I constantly advise - get an experienced flyer to hold your hand at first. You cannot learn RC flying from a book, and if you choose to go it alone you must accept the consequences.
It's sad when so many people come to RC flying with high hopes, spend good money, only to face bitter disappointment after crashing through lack of knowledge. Hobbyzone's SC manual infers that anyone can take the thing out of the box and fly it, all by yourself - well, most people can't!

The beautiful thing about the cub and the z-foam construction is it's ability to take punishment and how easy it is to repair. Just an suggestion.... Get rid of the ACT system. All it will do is make you crash quicker. You can unplug it from the receiver and be done with it. The one nice thing about the ACT is on the transmitter. Even with the ACT unplugged on the aircraft, the ACT on/off switch on the Tx will act like a dual rate switch. With the ACT unplugged from the receiver, if you turn it on, then your controls will be more gentle. With it off, you get full throws on the servos. You may want to have it on until you get comfortable with the cub, but PLEASE unplug it from the receiver. Good Luck!!!

.... Get rid of the ACT system. All it will do is make you crash quicker. So, how many times now have you heard that advice, Adam? ;D Pleased to note that you are persevering, despite the crashes. We've all been there . . .
