Has anyone used a Parkzone Trojan motor mount in the Super cub for a brushless upgrade? Have seen this. Interested in finding out whether anyone has tried this successfully? www.rcfunlab.com/supercubmods.htmlThanks.

i just finished with my parkzone trojan motor mount upgrade. i also used the trojan 480 brushless motor. spektrum reciever and hs-55 servos. havnt flown yet but the motor really zooms. bout sucked the plane out my hand. feels twice as strong as the stock brushed 480. any ideas on the lipo i should use. i have a 1300ma currently. thinking i should upgrade. thanks for the idea. i will post results once these dang winds calm down

For a brushless, the most popular lipo choice is a 2200mah 20c, zippy flightmax if they have it in stock, otherwise turnigy.

I think its the same motor i use , its a 480 b from a radian glider i use i just bought a standard engine mount and cut it down to fit, it was bit tight to get the cowl on and to get the 4mm shaft in the middle of the cowl, i think this motor spec is about 225/250 watts but can not find any spec from parkzone, i use 10x4 and 10x5 on 1600 and 2200 lipos, any bigger prop and its to fast and my flight times are shorter, if you want to look at the mount i used its on the brc hobbies web site in the uk its the blue one, lots of mounts can be cut down and adapted for this motor , just dont make it to long or to wide as you wont get the cowl on.
