Hi Paul Thanks for the pictures of your sunglasses mount. I will have a go at that myself although I need to keep the lenses in as I am shortsighted - no lenses would be VERY bad for flying the Spit having got my confidence back!!! I like the yellow band arrangment for the camera as well as the velcro. May try that. As for camera supply I got my in the UK from Indoorflyer.co.uk but they don't appear to stock them anymore

Unfortunately one of them drowned in the Mediterranean the other two are still going strong. Have you had any more flights with the Spit?

Hi Paul
No more flights yet. This work thing and winter nights drawing in really gets in the way!! Tried to go yesterday but the wind is picking up in the UK and it seemed a bit too gusty when I got to my flying field so I chickened out as it did not feel right and if I doesn't feel right I have learnt that means DONT'T DO IT!! Don't want to have a bad crash too soon. I will try again soon though and let you know. Will probably even do the "SCC cam mount" again and try and get some low flybys!! ;D

Hi Folks Despite increasing winds here in the UK had a bash at flying the Spit again today and even though the wind was 10-15mph it flew out of my hands and handled fairly well despite the wind . I would say that it did get blown around a bit and the landing wasn't great as the wind was variable but I was brave enough to try her on high rates once airborne and got some nice rolls in. Did try to do an "SCC cam" but the camera was pointing too far down so got plenty of sky but no plane!! Also took my Cub to the field but I am not sure she can handle the wind as well due to being lighter and slower so she stayed on the ground Oh well. Am very happy now that I can fly Spit and Cub but the Cub taught me everything I know ;D

Malcolm - Great job on mastering the Spitfire!I bought my Spit b4 I got into the SC - BIG MISTAKE! - My experience with the Spit was almost the same as yours in the beginning. I have 2 flights and 2 crashes on the Spit log book! I got her in the air successfully both times, however she wheeled over in the turn and went in. I just think the PZ Spit, FW-190 and Mustang are a bit touchy and require a good deal of stick time on easier ships b4 mastering them - it's an aileron thing!- looks like you got it down! Have you had to swap out the wing on your Spit? I'm having all kinds of trouble with the aileron linkage wire and a cantankerous servo- lots of chatter.
I'm having too much fun with the Cub now. the Spit will have to wait.

Malcolm S,
Your Spitfire music is from the movie, "The Battle of Britain".
