I've finally got the funjet, going with the funjet ultra. The ultra kit was only an extra 30 bucks, is in stock, and is made from much stronger foam than the original funjet (although it's 200g heavier as well so it's a bit of a trade off). The electronics from hobbyking are about 3 weeks away.
Was wondering if u guys had any tips for the build. I've got some med CA from hobbyking, and got some thick 'slo-zap' from the LHS. I have bought some accellerator from hobbyking, but have read that it can make the joints weaker. Anyone know if it's worth using the accellerator?
So far the only prep work I've done is lightly sanding the glue joints with 250grit to make them smooth, and wipe off the paint like coating on the foam. I'm thinking about fiberglassing the nose, and maybe the underside of the fuselage too for reinforcement.
I was also thinking of profilming it, but have not found any threads regarding profilming a funjet. Anyone think it's a good/bad idea?
-thanks
