I just purchased for my first plane an HBZ7300 HobbyZone Supercub LP. Tonight I was putting the plane together to fly in the morning and during the control test, there was no throttle response. I replaced battery, and still no throttle. I then disassembled the plane and disconnected the motor leads. I put a meter on the leads and found no voltage coming from the Receiver/ESC. Either the ESC is bad or transmitter is not sending signal. Thoughts or solutions?

Call Horizon-probably bad ESC, assuming power batteries are charged and cells in transmitter are OK.

Customer service is GREAT at HZ! Now, if their QA was half that good they wouldn't be replacing so much defective stuff.
Forward looking note - DO NOT USE ACT!! It's a marketing gimmick, works to your detriment, and crashes way more planes than it saves.
If you have never flown before I suggest you rustle up some experienced help for that first flight. It ain't as easy as a lot of folks would like to make it. A flight simulator can be VERY helpful. There are a bunch-from free to a couple hundred $$. Money spent on a SIM is likely more than saved in airplane parts, never mind the time in repairs.

I have been flying with Clearview for several months, and have experience flying electric heli's. I love flying on the sim, but ready for the maiden of this plane.
I just got a new ESC from Horizon today. That would mean 2 bad ESC in a row. Reinstalled the new one and same issue.
Could it be the transmitter?

I'm going though the same thing with my cub bnf I'm using a DX6i tx
I also thought it might be the Tx but it works on my helis I was told to
check to see if any servos might be rev or the throttle but I know it
wasn't cuz everything was working 2 min before them stopped so I
would think its the esc

Just a quick note bigdaddy, if a few months down the line the motor starts cutting in and out, those lead connectors between esc and motor aren't as good as they look, pull 'em apart and clean them up a bit, don't just assume the esc has gone again.
