After 7 flights ive finally gone and ripped the battery box out. And on inspection it looks unrepairable. Ive seen and read all the posts and even looked at the advise to re glue the box, and yes behold no glue apart from a bit on the screws. Glue factory must have been on strike I wish i could post some pics , would be so much easyer than explaining. The problem is that the lip around the inside that stops the box dropping out has broken away and that was the area the srews go in to. how and what can be used to build the area up again?

Same happened to me.
Plenty of Epoxy both ends where the spikes go into the fuselage , let that cure. If you still have the two bits just epoxy them back into place. If not cut a couple of fillets out of polystyrene approx 65mmx10mmx10mm and use them to fill the voids between the screws.

Thanks SCC you make it sound so simple. one thing i forgot to mention was the antena snapped just before it goes in to the board. ive stripped both ends and used some tape to join, would this be ok? Thanks

Hi garvey. Make sure you get plenty of glue on those spikes Might be best to get that join on the rx antenna soldered and shrink wrapped. I would definitely get someone to help with a long range check before flying

think ill take the rx antenna in to shop and get the professionals on it, lack of tools and experience tends to make things worse. Glue on the other hand is no problem, must remember to detach my self from plane after, before attempting to fly

Is epoxy enough to fill those holes? I've got the same problem. Too many bad landings and my battery box is smashed up and ripped out.
