You can charge at 1 C. 1800 mah - 1C= 1.8amps. If it was a 2200mah it would be 2.2 amps. However....Don't charge at 1 C. Instead of 1.8amps, charge at 1.5amps. Why? It's not much slower charging, and it will make your battery last a lot longer!

No manufacturer specifies a lower rate. The only rechargeable that may benefit from this is SLOW charging, and forming charging NiCads/NiMh at 1/10C. Nicads? What are those? A lot of newer lipos actually spec 2C charging rate and higher end lipos are now 5C. You need a serious upgrade on charger and power supply to do that unless you bought a top end charger first time out. There are numerous steps you can take to increase lipo longevity, slow charging is not one.

Stop! Don't listen to flydiver! He's in league with satan! Look, I'm trying to give you good, honest, half-baked nonsense, and he spoils it by giving out facts! Pah! Who would you trust, flydiver with his witchcraft and electrical sorcery, or me, with my good, wholesome, god-fearing, barely researched waffle? ( And be careful, your soul is riding on this!

OK, OK, I'm convinced. I'm charging at 1/2C, maybe even 1/4C from now on. Obviously that sinister Cellpro 4S has been trying to deceive me with the temptation of charging at 3S!! EVIL! Dangerous! NEVER AGAIN!
