I use 3" wheels and a 1 1/2" tailwheel. They are both Dubro rubber wheels. They are awesome!!!! Aren't the rubber ones way heavier than the foam ones? Could you give us the part number for the ones you've got so we can check them out please :-)

Here ya go this is the link for the 3 in tires. Yes these tires a heavier, I flew with the stocks for about a week and could not stand them so I switched to these and have not looked back. www.shopatron.com/products/productdetail/part_number=300T/101.0?utm_source=google&utm_medium=shopping&utm_campaign=googleshoppingThe tailwheel is a little heavy so I would probably recommend a foam tire for that, but i have gotten used to mine so i will continue to use it. Dubro does not have a link for this one, but its a 1 1/2 or 1 3/4 (not sure). Bought it from the local hobby store. The cub flys extremely smooth with the 3" rubber dubros on it, with stock tailwheel. (tad bit tail-heavy with new one). Also I had too build up the axles on the plane so that the 3" rims would fit. I just used a few peices of that shrink tubing. Too use the tailwheel I had to extend the axle on the tailwheel, while keeping the threads for the nut. I will try to post some pics so U can see what they look like when I get a chance. The 3" tires were deffinently worth it though thats for sure!!!

the rubber wheels are relatively heavy... do they affect performance noticeably in the air?
When I compared their weight to the lightweight ones, I gave in and decided to go with the smallest light weight wheels I was willing to consider, which was the 2.75" dubro ones...

I put trexlers on my cub yes they are heavier, no they did not adversely affect performance and they work AWESOME! even on grass... just like real tundra tires Attachments:
