What TX do You have? If you change to brushless, you change everything, including your TX.

More importantly, what TX do YOU have? If you change to brushless, you change EVERYTHING, including your TX.

unless you fill the cub with concrete, it'll never be too heavy to take off, and if you'r adding a brushless motor, that'll most likely make up for the weight gain from the motor and stuff (right?), if there is any. you'd need a new everything, like fly and john66 said. new TX/RX, servos, batteries (if you either have the NIXX batts or a too small for that set up lipo- don't want marshmallow lipos), and some sort of motor mount. am i missing anything? every electrical part is proprietary AKA incompatable with anything exept hobbyzone's X-port. it's all or nothing with the cub.

thx for the input guys! But, yup, I knew everything would need to be swapped out for new. I did all of it too. JR sport S400 TX/RX, new micro servos from a Typhoon 2, the PZ480 Bl motor from the mustang, and the 18 amp esc from the mustang. lots an lots of cutting and epoxy, and about 3 hours later, we have the MONSTER CUB!! used the motor mount from the mustang bl. installed it on the re-enforeced cub firewall upside down. the motor mounted perfectly. from what we can tell, not much of a change in teh placement of prop shaft through the opening in the cowl. Did have to trim the opening in the cowl a lil. Im using the 1300mah 11.1v batt from the stang too. I maidened her in about 15mph of gusty winds and 38 to 40 deg weather this afternoon. She ran for almost 15min and was nuts. ever do a take off roll into the wind and the plane barely pulls off the ground and rolls heavy to one side?? That happened to me at about 1/2 throttle. I just punched the throttle and gave it some elevator and up she went. Crazy aerobatics, loops, inverted loops, hammerheads, and almost hovering!! this thing doesnt even care if there is wind any more! With the APC 11X7E prop it has gobbs of torque. Ill get some pics of the build and maybe a video (if I can get one of adequate quality) up soon.
