Hey everyone. I've been flying my SC for about a year and thought with the cooler weather coming it'd be a great time to add the ailerons and flaps. I'm wanting to get a brushed ESC to keep the stock motor and from what I've heard the Turnigy is the way to go, but everyone I can find who carries them is out of stock. Does anyone out there have one they used to use and would like to get rid of?
Thanks!

I had two in order that I could keep the stock motor and upgrade to 2.4ghz, both became smoke in less than 5 minutes, I have no idea why.

Hmmm, did you go with a different brushed ESC or just go to brushless?

Maybe I needed a seperate bec but I was only running two servos with the brushed esc.

It probably couldnt handle the amps it was this one www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=9090I wasnt aware of the seperate BEC at the time and it says 5v/1A They were both bought from seperate places so probably my ampage ignorance at the time I now have seperate uBECs two different ones but both same ratings both with noise reduction. A BEC is a Battery Eliminator Circuit. it's the part of the ESC, and is designed to power the reciever and servos. most stock ESCs designed for brushed motors don't have good BECs, and will be over loaded with more that two servos (although the one in this post seems to barely be able to handle one). Everybody solves this problem by going brushless (the BECs sem to be better suited for the high voltages to power at least two servos), or buys a seperate UBEC, which is just a BEC that is better than the one in the ESC and can usually handle at least four servos, and some can handle over 8. UBECs are connected to the battery seperate from the ESC and splice into the harness between the ESC and reciever. I think that's a pretty good description... here's a link to a pretty good one, i think... www.headsuprc.com/servlet/the-1857/UBEC-5-Amp-Universal/Detail
