I notice that my stock sc motor has what I feel to much play of motor in motor mount, motor slides in and out freely . is this a problem, does the motor lock in some how? and what should I be looking for .

Motor is attached to the gearbox with screws that go in from the back side. Remove the gearbox from the firewall and tighten the screws.

thanks gohmer, I remover gearbox from firewall and screws were missing! do you know what size these 2 screws are? it looks like the motor has threaded holes I don"t what to use self tappers If I don't have to.

No, don't use self tapping screws, as you will fill the motor with metal shavings. And any you don't spill into it, will be sucked in by the magnets inside the motor.
They are machine threaded screws. Take the motor to the local hardware store, along with the mount, and you will be able to find the appropriate screws. Get a screw that is just long enough. Too long and it will interfere with the spinning part in the motor. (armature?)
Horizon is incredibly customer service oriented, if you were to call them and explain that the screws seem to have fallen out, I believe they would mail them. But for the $0.25 it would take to get your own from a local source, I'd suggest you get them today, out of pocket.
