while I'm waiting for my new parts to arrive, are there any issues I might run into when replacing my motor and esc?

Hi Phil, not sure if your changing out your Tx/Rx too (I'm figuring you are) but if like I did you are, be very careful the first time you put any power to it. If you are using a futaba type TX (mine was a clone) make sure that the throttle is not reversed and that the plane is extremely secure before you plug anything in. I did some rather spectacular spare room aerobatics before I realised what the problem was and in the process of nosediving my cub into the carpet at WOT burnt out my newly installed esc.

if replacing the radio, I would STRONGLY recommend making sure the elevator is working the right way. That is, when you move the elevator stick down, the elevator moves up, and vice-verse. Some idiots just have no idea, and will spend months building a nice new cub only to steer it right into the dirt at full throttle on their maiden flight

I think that is probably one of those things that will only have to bite you once for you to learn. I hope anyway. Now watch me end up doing it too someday. Skiv
