Is that your own idea on soldering EC3s? That's the best way to solder plugs ever!

Nice video Ifly.
Maybe I'll try to figure out a way make some of my hard to pull apart EC3's easier to pull apart. Any ideas?

Is that your own idea on soldering EC3s? That's the best way to solder plugs ever! Thanks Kill, a few months ago I was trying to figure out what connectors to use. I ordered a few of the most common connectors. Then I went about trying to figure out what would work the best. I have yet to find something better. I also dont mind that they are tight. Yes, they are a little harder to pull apart but I'm willing to deal with that!!!! Ifly

I have not figured out a way to remove already inserted EC3 plugs without destroying the plastic housing. But they are not expensive. If you want to make the adjustment just cut off the plastic housing, make the adjustment and re-insert in a new housing.. Ifly

I've went to the XT60, mostly due to the HK batts now coming with this plug. I should probably point out that I re-entered the hobby in the summer, and I only had 4-5 batts / chargers / esc's to convert at the time. I knew I was going to order more batts, which is part of the reason I made the connector swap.
I had been using EC3's, as those came on my SuperCub, Radian, etc.

Started with Dean's. PITA to solder, pull apart.
Now use the XT60 on everything.
Simple way to keep th XT60 pins from moving around, plug in the other side halfway while soldering.I use a homemade third hand to hold the pug uprite while working on it.
