I am a big FPS gamer. I love America's Army and BF2. I haven't played BF2 in awhile plus it was so hard to get a plane & heli when I was playing. My playing name is Punisher73.

And so forth. Garvey could be written as - g4r\/3Y. my Br4in hurts now! lets go fly planes!111

i love call of duty 2, we have over 1500 hours multiplayer lol. i do play bf2 for lan parties but i really don't care for the game, EA carried over alot of flaws of BF and it kills it for me. also some times i play forza motorsports and conkers bad fur day on xbox. lately i have been getting back in to company of heroes though, its getting addicting.

I play some of the Delta Forces. DFBHD, DFBHDTS, and DFX.
I rarely play call of duty UO.
Anyone else play these games?

As far as multiplayer games on PC go, I reckon Half Life was the best.
Nothing too technical, just good old bash his brains out with gun, crow bar or whatever.
We used to have LAN parties and would have about 20 people all playing it and getting pissed at the same time.
This meant that the best guy at the start of the night wasn't the best by the end..... he was too drunk to kill you :-)

I've played all of the BF series, and love 'em. I love flying in them too.
I still get a chuckle out of the time I was transporting a chopper full of troops into enemy territory and accidentally hit the exit vehicle key, leaving my team mates to die a fiery death, despite my frantic attempts to tell them to to take over as pilot or bail out. I died as well, mind you. I opted to keep warning them as I was falling, rather than pulling my chute.

Aha! I knew you lot were as maladjusted as I! I've played pretty much all the 1st person shooters since V1, (DOS), of Castle Wolfenstein. HL2 is as realistic as it gets for me so far, but I really like GT4 on the PS2. I've held off getting a PS3 simply because there's no Logitech wheel , (or GT5).
BF2 was cool, (yeah it took me a while to figure out the parachute thing), but I haven't been able to fly much of anything with a keyboard.
For joystick jollies, my favorite is Descent 3. I'd dearly love to see that one come back.
Cheers,
Frank

Dark age of Camelot here. It's known as a MMORPG <massive multiplayer online role playing game> Been playing for over 5 years. I have one chacter with over 200 days of play time on her, and you all thought you were addicts.
Although not so much I play some on the midgard/merlin sever. If anyone else plays here look for ask for Tomb/Trollsplitter/Milkinator from the running with scissors guild. they know who i am.

Been a gamer for decades... since my Atari 2600. Play FPS these days... have played many in the past.
FWIW, its commonly referred to as leet speak or 1337 speak rather than gamer speak... since it really started before any real gamer crowd came about. By old timers its also referred to as "AOL speak" as it really evolved and became more widely popular by the AOL crowd (read newbs). It primarily came about as a means to bypass 'bad word' filters on BBSs, ListServes, forums, etc... when people wanted to use bad words and get around a filter... it has evolved much since then... and yes, most gamers these days know how to use it.
