Does anyone have a recommendation for attaching a new firewall mount (for the motor & gearing) to the front of the fuselage? HZ has a "Clear Silicone Sealant" they sell, but I don't think it is what is used at the factory . . . . Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I prefer to use RTV clear. I think that it's stronger than the one that HZ put stock in the cubs, and it clearly does the same job. and If there isn't another (better) recomendation that arrises from someone else, I wouldn't buy the one from HZ, you could probably find more of it for cheaper at a local hardware store under the same name, or the name RTV clear. good luck! ~Legot

White bathroom sealant is suppose to be the best, I think it's a latex acrylic.

Hot glue, silicone, gorilla or epoxy will be OK.

Hot glue, silicone, gorilla or epoxy will be OK. Ooooh, i'm not so sure about epoxy, that stuff is permanent. If you break your firewall again in the future, you'll have a hell of a time replacing it.

I'm with Dill on this, NO epoxy or gorilla glue on the firewall unless you are willing to get a new fuse next time you break it. It gets ugly-fast.
