Hi all , been a while since last post due to ill health and not being able to go out and fly. been flying cub on lipo with jumper removed from esc for a while now. bought an ART-TECH EDGE 540T last year and had few good flights untill this weekend i totaly destroyed it after a wild 5 mins. i would like to use all the electrics from the edge in my cub as i want to carry on flying lipo in cub. my question is is there a cheap motor and mount you can buy that will fit straight on to cub without too many mods??? sorry dont have details on electrics from edge. any help would be appreciated

Hi Garvey, good to see you back on here and glad to hear you are recovering from your health problems. I've searched the web for the Art-Tech Edge, and there is little info regarding the motor in that, let alone how it's mounted. So the first thing we'll need to know is whether the motor is mounted in front of or behind the firewall. The way to tell is whether the mounting bracket is the same end of the motor as the prop shaft or the opposite end. There are some "off the shelf" mounting options for each, possibly a cage if it's a behind the firewall, or a stick mount if it's to be mounted in front. P.S. Come on Pompey....I have a ticket for the final reserved for me!

Re-read your post. It appears you DON'T have the motor and want one + mount. [is there a cheap motor and mount you can buy that will fit straight on to cub without too many mods???] Here's an option: www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1213576If you go into eBay and search on (super cub motor mount) you will turn up a number of hits. No one sells mount + motor I know of.

If your motor isn't too long, you may be able to use one of these: www.giantcod.co.uk/alloy-stick-motor-mount-suit-10mm-wide-stick-p-404936.htmlor one of these: www.brchobbies.co.uk/?page=shop&action=additem&item=167I too hope we do em, but I'm not getting my hopes up as I didn't in the semi. It's all the more pleasurable then!
