I'm building this from scratch to teach my son how to fly. I'm wanting to use a 3s2100, however, I haven't come up with a good idea how to fit it in there.
The Lipo is a Super Tigre 2100: 4.8 x 1.7 x 0.9 in
Any thoughts or suggestions? Seems to be that I should have bought a Zippy instead, as they are shorter, but I got this at the LHS.
I've got a Park 480 mounted already. My ailerons are OK... not perfect, but my first shot at them. I also strengthened the wing using the fiberglass flats out of my crashed Apprentice, which fit like a glove.

YOu could just cut out the back area of the battery box, under the rudder and elevator servos. You can cut the hole a bit big so that it can support the larger lipos later. Make sure you check your CG as well once the battery is in place.
Just a question. What ESC are you using? I have no reason to ask, I just have the urge to know the ESC's in every plane around at the moment.

I don't have a park 480, but many on here do. I'm a bit concerned that it won't really perform on a 2S pack as the voltage isn't getting into it's range (3s).
Anyone tried theirs on a 2S?

Turnigy 40a ESC, i have these in all my models, i exceed the ratings & abuse them & have yet to destroy one. I had 2 x E-Flite ESC & both died within weeks. |

Just a question. What ESC are you using? E-Flite 30a Hobbywing 40A in the SC, same in my Gemini. Hobbywing 18A x 2 in the Twinny. Hobbywing 6A in the MPX fox. Hobbywing 12A in the (currently being built) depron Mach 3, based on the design found here. |
