Hey guys - just an observation If you move the main gear forward to just behind the C of G - the aircraft will rotate easier on takeoff and get off sooner - also it will put less strain on the nose leg - which is a week point of tricycle aircraft - just look at the T-28's with reinforced nose leg mounts.

That would be a great idea. I broke the first nose gear after a second attempt at taking off in grass. I had to rebuild it with a lot of reinforcement. I mounted the main gear onto the floats slot so to move it forward I'd have to use a pressed-aluminum gear like those on nitro trainers and bolt it onto the foam. If this setup fails again I'll go that way. For now, it's taking off right away and no other problems seen.

HOW DID YOU PUT THAT FRONT WHEEL ON THERE LET ME KNOW THANKS JAY I ATTACHED IT TO THE FIREWALL WITH 4 SCREWS. THE GEAR COMES WITH ATTACHMENT ACCESSORIES READY TO INSTALL. AS STATED PREVIOUSLY, IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO MAKE IT STRONG ENOUGH TO HANDLE HARD LANDINGS.P.S. Please stop writing in all-caps; it's a little annoying.
