I HAVE A BRAND NEW LP SC, AND I HOOKED LIGHTS UP TO THE X-PORT AND IT WORKED FINE(sorry bout the caps) untill it fried the receiver...in the dark..and no control..i freaked .. but luckily it was a calm night ,full moon,and it landed in rosamond blvd. 2:00 o clock in the am.the most perfect landing i have ever seen with this plane..any how HZ is sending out a new reciever ..and i wont try that again...

Ouch! Thanks for the info I was just about to connect my new LED navigation lights to the X-Port wiring. I'll wire direct into the battery leads instead. As a matter of interest what lights did you hook up and do you know the total amperage of tall the lights added together? Maybe the X-Port power is only designed to take a certain max amp load before the the RX goes belly up.

I've also noticed that there are two or three terminals of the X-port that read as a + voltage (not an earth) I would think that only one of them would be for supplying power, and the others would be for signaling.

Sorry to hear about your fry. I have been using the X-port for over a yr. to light both wing tips, a light under the nose cone, a tail light a the under side and on both sides of the fuslage without any problems.
