Hey Guys,
I have been trying to find a Ch 3 ESC/Reciever for the SuperCub LP as mine got wet and died.
No shops around the Toronto area keep the item in stock and Horizon has them on backorder until mid November. I've been trying for about a month with no luck.
Do you think this could be because they are now selling the floats for the plane and this has unexpectedly increased the demand for electronics due to everyone getting them wet over the summer (as I did)! LOL
Any advice would be appeciated...

If you get electronics wet: 1. Remove battery ASAP. 2. Flush with clear water. 3. Shake water off. 4. Flush with rubbing alcohol. 5. Dry with a hair dryer and then leave in a warm spot for probably > 24 hours. 6. Test carefully. This has worked for me a couple times. There is some kind of 'corrosion X' (not sure of the brand name) that you should apply to your electronics if you are going to do float work. My accidents were a function of newbie flier + large mud puddles so I've never used the stuff. You might look for something like this: www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1115047Add an ESC and ditch the 27MHz system. Better stuff anyway and pretty cheap. People sell PZ TX/RX/ESC and other brands all the time on RCGroups and Wattflyer. Another edit: Something like this: www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1115060

I'm in Australia, and have been trying to get my hands on exactly the same one (ch3 for the LP) for about 8 weeks now. I should have mine in the next few days. It is possible to buy them online. There are a few suppliers on amazon, and you can get them on ebay too. You can get the one from the original super cub (HBZ7153) and just change over the battery connector - other than that they are identical. When I got my super cub LP, the receiver that came in it was even labeled as part number HBZ7153, where the part number for the LP is HBZ7353.

I heard back from my local distributor today that I'm still gonna be waiting another couple of weeks for my new receiver. I've finally bit the bullet, and done what I should have done in the first place. I bought one direct from www.hobbyzone.com with express international shipping. They don't have HBZ7353, the one from the LP, so I got the HBZ7153, and I'll just change over the battery connector. Hobbyzone have them in stock now, you may as well get one while you can or you may find that you'll be waiting for your LHS to get them in longer than your expected.
