How's this setup for the Cub? The HK 6CH 2.4Ghz Mode 2 TX/RX are in stock so I'll be ordering a few things from them. I was wondering if this setup of outrunner and BESC is any good? www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idproduct=4711If that'll leave the SC a bit underpowered, then what's a good size motor to get?

Did you read the first review? [The motor and ESC on this kit are fantastic. I installed them in a SuperCub and I can do things with the cub that it shouldn't be able to do. The reason for the 3 stars is that the prop shaft is absolutely horrible. It's so bad, that one bad landing and your stuck having to replace the shaft because it'll get so bent that it'll be irreparable. ]Sad but true. You can't get much cheaper and have a functional package. It will work. I started on a slow stick with a TP package like this, was amazed by the improvement over brushed, and soon disappointed by the soft shaft, fragile wires, poor bearings and the ESC is absolutely bottom tier. Oh, and HC gives you a gearbox for a motor mount. Doesn't matter in the Cub but confuses the hell out of newbies. At least with this one the prop is the right size-assuming they do send that prop. Often the prop size is so mismatched it burns out the motor. If you get it buy a BUNCH of spare shafts. Minimally, mount it so the bell is close to the cowling, shorten the shaft a lOT and use a prop saver with a DOUBLE STRONG band as this is a bit over the top for a prop saver. Some of the other guys maybe can point out a better Turnigy. I've never used them. This would be a much better motor: www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=8621I suggest a suitable Turnigy for it: www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=2163&Product_Name=TURNIGY__Plush_25amp_Speed_ControllerAnd if you are smart the programming card. Not trying to bust your budget-looks like you are doing this on the cheap. If you go for the HC TX I'd be interested if it works OK. Long term also.

I went with this one. Its way overpowered with a 10 x 7 APC prop. It will go vertical untill I can't see it, and perform unlimited inside loops . www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idproduct=4711i used a e-flite 30 amp pro esc from my corsair with a 2200mah 3s lipo. I should be receiving the HK 6 channel TX RX by the end of September, now that they are in stock. There will be a wattmeter coming with it , so i'll be able to measure the draw with various props.

Awesome advice; thanks so much. It's places like SCC that makes lacking experience and being a newb not so crappy.
