For $45 + shipping you can get a motor that has maybe a little more performance than stock and half the performance of a brushless costing half as much (except for the little part where you have to replace everything else for a LOT more).
It's a wonder they are even sold anymore.
Good research. Don't bother though. Fly that stock one until it's dead and upgrade to brushless and all new electrics or pass it on to a worthy learner.

Yeh. I thought even if it were a upgrade, It may defeat the purpose if i've got to spend 1/4 the cost of the entire RTR kit just for a new motor. They do have the speed 480's that arent Ball Bearing though for around 25 bucks. But Even that much is kinda discouraging seeing that I could buy stock motors all day long for 10 bucks.

Get some decent 3-in-1 oil or sewing machine oil. Lube the bushings once in awhile (front and back of the motor. I used some Teflon based dry lube that I put sparingly on the gear systems.
The brushed bearing motor just isn't going to be that much of an upgrade for the stock power system. It has it's basic limitations due to design and it takes some work and expense to overcome those. The same effort and expense applied to a brushless system yields a much better reward.
Unfortunately almost everyone comes to the same conclusion about the Cub after awhile. The plane is fine, the electrics are a dead end. Almost ANY RTF suffers from this shortcoming.
OTOH, you don't have to learn EVERYTHING all at once that way when you start.
