JUST TO UPDATE:
I've ended up moving the battery forward a bit so that I could remove some of the weight from the cowl. I now have the battery mounted against the front of the battery box, and now it only needs 1oz on the nose instead of 2.

My plane, when I shut off the motor, the nose points down pretty much. My battery is under the wing, laying down. If I put my motor in front more, not sure how you get tail heavy?
If I go past half throttle, the plane goes way up with the nose. Turn it off, the nose goes down.

Is your wing saddle in good shape? Have you modified it?
Where is your CG relative to the leading edge of the wing - how far back with battery in place?

Going to the store to get my battery box material. I would like to see a picture of yours with the battery in it. Just like the other guys pictures.
I am wondering, my Velcro is very strong. If I had your setup, each time I pulled the battery off the Velcro, it seems like it would pull the foam from the plane. How do you keep yours from doing that?

It's never been an issue for me. The foam the super cub is made from is pretty tough stuff, you shouldn't have any problems with it getting ripped out by the velcro. Also, I don't have my velcro attached directly to the foam, it's attached via a piece of double sided tape (about 1mm thick) to add a little padding.
One thing I use to make removing the batteries easier is to get a steel ruler, and slide it down between the battery and the velcro. Then the battery just slides out easily.

I thought you have the Velcro stuck to the door seal tape? The bottom part (of the door sea tape) looks black, like Velcro. I can see black on the front of the (plastic part) battery box. I didn't think of that.
I wasn't thinking the Velcro would come away from the foam of the plane, it would pull away from the door seal tape (or door seal tape pull of from the plane).
