Hello All!! Another happy SC owner. I need to get a small bit of your knowledge. New electronics is coming to my super cub but i will leave original motor for now. I have suitable TX and RX and servos but got stuck on ESC Question 10-Amp, 12 or 40-Amp? Please advice

12 amp will be sufficient. might want to go a little higher like an 18 or 20 if you plan on using lipo but with nimh its not necessary.

Also, make sure its a brushed type if you are using the stock motor.

Hi Guys 20Amp purchased (brushed) as i will be upgrading to Lipo soon after my collection of nimh start causing more troubles.

ESC amp requirement is defined by the power draw. The stock motor draws under 20A. Whether the individual ESC will handle 2 or 3S depends on the specs of THAT ESC. Read them. In all probability, yes.

thanks for the help,
it says 6-12 volts on the input, lets hope for some factor of safety. The only thing that I need to cognizant about is LVC. The esc i have is set for 5 volts, don't think i can change it.
I'll have to do some timing to check it all out.
