I have decided that my next plane will be either a Trojan or a Corsair. Before getting either of those I would want to try to fly my Cub with a little more juice. So my question is, which is the best Li-Po for the Super Cub that will also work in a T-28. I am looking for something relatively cheap that will give my Cub a little more kick, but it will also work in the Trojan or Corsair. I would like to keep the stock ESC and RX but I know i will need to change the connectors, buy a charger, and read up about Li-Po!

The corsair uses a 3S 11.1V 1800mAh Li-Po. I fly these in my cub, but had to cut the battery box up a bit to get them to fit. You could get a smaller pack, it would just cut down on flight time.
You could pick those up at HobbyCity for ~$13 each. Just have to pay a chunk for shipping. I bought the charger you see in the add from HobbyPartz and it's worked well.

jeffry Just a quick chime in. Have got both a Corsair and a T-28, pulled a real dumb move with the Corsair and totalled it. No plans to get another Corsair, just keep the T-28 (that's just my preferance, I think the T-28 is a nicer plane to fly) In regards to batteries: If you use anything less than 1800 mah in either the T-28 or Corsair you're missing out on prime flying time, just makes the flights shorter. So that will limit you to an 1800 or higher mah battery anyway. Good news is that a SC battry box can be modified to accept the 1800 or 2200. PS If you do get batteries from Hobby City like belem suggests, their 2200 mah Zippy Flightmax are more like 1920 mah. I like to fly a 1550 or 1300 mah Li Po in the Cub because of the weight savings.

Ok thank you! I have read all over the internet about the Corsair and the Trojan and I have only heard bad about the Corsair. I think i will fly my Super cub for a while longer and then pick up the Trojan. I think then i will buy the connectors for the cub, and fly with the trojans Lipos. Then when I'm ready i will fly the Trojan.

I picked up a Zippy flightmax 20C 2200mah and it fits the Corsair battery box just fine. I don't know what the Trojan has for Battery space so I can't comment on that.
I don't know what you read bad about the corsair, but as far as I know it flys very similar to the Trojan. They do share the same motor and ESC, along with various other parts. I haven't read anything bad about the F4U other than petty gripes, and I have only one small complaint about mine, which was fixed on the spot by the LHS I bought it from. (Wing misalignment)
The Corsair comes with a much better Spektrum DX5E Radio system. I have friends here that have had trouble with the ZX10 setup included with the Trojan.
This is irrelevant if you buy the PnP versions, and supply your own radio.

The tail dragger Corsair is slightly more difficult to take off. It tends to nose over and kill (expensive, 3-bladed) props in grass. Flight characteristics are probably more similar than different. It may be a tad harder to fly and has worse orientation issues with the color.

The thing is I am not doing PnP. So the Dx5E Radio might sell me on the Corsair.
