or 6 I picked up one of these www.hobbyking.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=2112For my Supercub. I'll be using it with a E-Flite 30A pro ESC, and 2200 mah 3s Lipos Is this going to be enough, swinging a 9 x 7 prop? I'd like to see a performance increase, but nothing spectacular until I get used to the ailerons. At that time I can upgrade the motor and esc to a Sk3530 or something comparable I've heard some not-good things about the E-flite esc ( its the one from my corsair) so I didn't want to over motor it. BTW the Cub is a bit heavier than stock, because of extra tape and the battery.

you will find that flying with ailerons is no different if not easier than flying rudder alone. if you want to jump up to a 3530 or something similar you could do it now and save yourself the money on the turnigy

Turnigy capability tends to be exaggerated (duh). They claim 14A Max, 12A max efficiency. I think I would use the 12A as max. This puts you in the same ballpark as the stock motor on 3S and 10x6. Likely what you will get is the modding experience and a little quiet.
As always, a wattmeter would be handy.

OK, Looks like this motor is a bit smaller than I would have liked but it will have to do until I get back to work, or the house sells. I'm pretty sure I'll be pretty happy just having the ailerons and Dx5e radio. Once I have some money I'll get a wattmeter too.
Thanks guys
Another question? if any one knows anything about the E-flite ESC's used in the Corsairs. it has the 30 amp SB PRO. How much can these take before they give out?

How much can these take before they give out? 30A + ? www.parkzone.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=EFLA1030I think the problem is less the ESC than the folks running them on Spectrum that don't know what they are doing with power systems. That ESC should be able to take way more then the power system you are planning on currently.

I got to fly a bit today with the new motor. www.youtube.com/watch?v=J7xqUFLJplUI didn't expect this much of an power boost. It ROG in less than 10 feet, and climbs near verticle on a 10 x 7 APC prop.
