No-expensive for old 72MHz technology. Hunt the (other RC) forums and you can do as well or better for $100 or less. I got a new JR7202 for $85 6 months ago. Over a year before that I got a JR6102 for $100 and it's still fine.

Thanks Flydiver.
I'll see what I can find in the forsale Items in RC Forums.

I bought about a dozen of them all for about 100-125 bucks without rx's or servo's. All on ebay. I kept 3 for myself and ordered the rest for fellow fliers at the club. Great radio for the money. BTW it is not that old of technology....PCM is great stuff. Now if it was a pre 1991 radio then yes but if your not flying with a ton of other people 72 is great and fine. However if your in the city and have a bunch of possible interference issues like other kids with radio's down the road then maybe 2.4 is the way to go. Rural areas seldom have interference issues.

For a 5-ch and used, it dosen't seem like a good deal or is it?
Thanks, Deke

Read this. It'll help. Don't buy a standard radio! www.wattflyer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4454You can get a new Spectrum DX5e for $50 no problem, sometimes 40. They come with a lot of the 'next level' PZ planes (Radian, etc.) and guys with DX6i/DX7 dump them. So, IMO not a good deal. If it's not a computer TX with at least 6 model memory I think you should skip it.

Thanks Fly,
Ya I think I will get a computer radio, cause I do already have two planes.

When I started I didn't know what I'd do with 4 channels, let alone 5-6. Nor could I figure out why I'd want more than 6 model memories. 2+ years later I'm on my 4th TX, current one has 20 model memory and I'm using 12. My buddy who swore he'd never need more than 6 ran out in 6 months and had to upgrade. Another buddy got a DX5e. The computer part really put him off. Now he has to reset and re-trim EVERYHING for EVERY model he has (3). Worst part is he is terrible at trimming so the planes are all out of whack when he takes off and that makes him crash them half the time. Not sensible.
