Hi all. I wonder if anyone has experience of OVERPOWERING the cub? I want to go brushless and I have a motor I could use. It is a Tornado Thumper 3530 and is rated at 340 watts with a Kv of 1000. Is it just a case of using less throttle or is it just too big? Any help appreciated! John

other then being heavier it will be fine. you could also prop down a bit to get longer flight times.

I don't think RC'ers understand that question.

Alex Currently rebuilding my cub with the same motor you used. One of the people I fly with once in a while mentioned that one his cub which has also been rebuilt with a larger motor he had seen flutter on the tail surfaces and had to use wire bracing between the tail surfaces to stabilize the rudder and elevator surfaces with respect to each other. Have not seen any one else mention that. Since yours is close to what I am doing thought I would ask you if you had seen that issue?
Very nice Spitfire BTW
