Has anyone done any experimenting as to the function of each of the 5 servo wires. ground,power,direction,etc. Thanks Bill

In 'normal' 3-wire servos there is a +/- (power) and a signal wire. The brains are in the servo. The Cub 5-wire servo has the brains in the ESC/RX. The extra wires are to service the processing.
It's academically interesting to maybe know but it's of little value since you'll be changing anyway.
There is no reasonable way to make them work with standard systems.
