My one and only plane at the moment is the HZ Supercub Wishing to buy an "ARTF/RR model at some stage, i've invested in a DX5e 2.4 radio, with the intention of first, making the cub a 2.4 system Now I know I need two 3 wire servo's (got those) what didn't occur to me, was that the ESC is five wire, so I now want a 3 wire esc (I believe) electronics is not my strong point! What sort of ESC would be right for this set-up, don't think there is anthing else I need........err, is there?? Thanks

If you're keeping the stock motor you'll need a brushed ESC or if you go with a brushless motor you'll need a brushless ESC. Either should be 20 amps or more if you're only going to use the 2 servos, I have an E Flite 25 amp brushless with a 450 brushless motor. Then there is the receiver, you'll use the AR500 with the DX5e. Your LHS should be able to help you out in the selection.

As for adding more servos, just be aware of the potential to pull too much power through the BEC which (in some cases) can cause the Rx to lose connection. This very subject has been discussed in the "Spektrum Brown out" thread in the off topic catagory. It very much depends of the ESC and number and power requirements of the servos installed.
