Whoa, that's a lot of questions! @timbo63, This could be a good second plane after you master the cub but, it's fast yet stable. On low rates the plane will fly scale like and high rates it's fully aerobatic. The spit is more stable then the mustang but, the T-28 is worth all the money I spent. They really did some homework with the stiff and thick foam work. zeta30, I was flying stock with the 11.1v 1800mah 3s and it was a rush. I think the 11.1v 2200mah 3s battery upgrade for this plane would be a overkill. the landing gear is really solid and the nose wheel can take a good slam without any signs of weakness. cjg, I haven't had any problems with radio gear, ESC or other. It was some things that I hot glued because, I was unhappy with the factory glue. There are some legit problems and some self caused ones too. I've read some threads and some people crashed due to rushing without a good pre-check. My problems with the plane. I the middle of the plane were the fuselage halves meet up they did not glue it. It's fine without but, I thought about the cub after weak spots appear. So, I hot glued it and the area above the battery holder. The magnet that holds the canopy down came loose from the foam. They put that gue glue on and strapping tape over top. So, I fixed it with hot glue and the prop adapter was installed from the factory with the screw out of the grove. You know the grove on the motor shaft, it caused small vibration. So, I took it off and installed it the right way.

This looks like the next natural step after the cub. Good price, cheap replacement parts. Just waiting for my hobby store to get them in! Thanks for the tips.

WHAT Bigger motor? This thing is a rocket already on a 1800mah 11.1v stock lipo, did you see my vid? I think it would be a overkill with the upgrade option of 2200mah.

Nice job!
I was at my LHS last weekend and they had 15 T-28 Trojans. I just came back from the LHS and they were all sold out. The sales rep there said that they can't keep them in stock. They haven't heard a single bad thing about them either.

Thanks guy's I used krylon fusion on the bird. The green is base coat and sand color is sprayed over frisket film. The film is low tack but, will pull the edges of the paint up. Just take you time!

Well, I guess this is a good place to post this. I bought my T-28 on friday, my hobby store only had channel 21, so I asked them to switch it out with 19 from a Typhoon 3D. Got it assembled, charged up and took it out to the field. At lower altitudes, it flies fine, but once I got above the trees, I would get bad glitching. I brought it back down to maybe 15-20 feet off the ground, and I stopped having problems. I got incredible endurance out of the thing, close to 26 minutes, flying at maybe 40% power. I charged the battery up again and took it out. same deal, glitching only at higher altitudes. Well I took it out yesterday, (saturday) and got some glitching closer to the ground this time, so I decided to bring it in, but just as I was making a bank to land, It hard nosed over, and the throttle came up BOOM right into the ground. It landed spinner first, smashing the cowl, breaking the motor mount, pushing the motor into the fuse, breaking the firewall right off the fuse etc. the sudden decrease in airframe length ejected the pilot about 6 feet in the air. all the electronics work, but I bent the shaft on my motor. the parts I salvaged from this whole deal, was pretty much everything but the fuse and motor. this receiver is junk, and now because of it, my $209 t-28 needs $97 in parts. (note: this also MAY be a shoot down.) So I got 36 minutes on the airframe before I destroyed it. This is my first model, second day of owning it. I'm pretty bummed Pictures:

That may have been the cause of your crash or the crystal wasn't pushed in the rx/tx properly. I heard of some people having problems with low channels on HZ and PZ products because, of CB radios and other.

Well I ordered all the replacement parts as well as channel 52 crystal set, hopefully that makes a difference.

I'm done with my flaps and they drop well with the optional 5th channel.
