That is the only plane I left stock......ever. I still have mine in mint condition and use a 3s lipo and get awesome flight times and speed that is perfect for it's size. You will love it. It glides so well. Much better than the FW or the P-51 in flight...I have had them all. This is my favorite warbird of theirs to date. Have fun!

Alex. It's one of the nicest planes I have flown. I wished I still had mine, unfortunately the stock electronics gave way and that was the end of the Spit.
Where did your parents live in the UK?

Yeah those spits are real nice and fly nicely. I too had the stock electronics quit on me, but the "gods of model Flight" looked upon me favourably that day as the only crash damage was a broken prop and a badly dented ego! She looked impressive falling out of the sky though, the esc was burning up and smoke was pouring out of the airframe...the spectators thought it was great!!!!

Ha-ha, it sounds like you were re-enacting a scene from the Battle of Britain!

SO what are you powering it with? Looks like electric by the firewall but more details! Sure is nice looking. Is that fabric covering I see?

Not sure yet, I will keep you posted. No fabric, just a nice printed sheeting of some sort.
