I'd recommend a LOT of reading before you blithely go off and get a lipo. It's WAY more complicated than connectors. That's almost the easy part.
Lots of info (and opinions) in the forum but you have to do some digging.

scottydog fly is right, there's a lot to learn about Li Pos to handle them safely. I just started out with them and figure that Id rather dispose of a questionable battery tham have my house burn up. In regards to connectors you'll need to change the Tamiya on a stock SC (POS anyway) to a matching one on the battery (I use Deans on mine but have heard good things about JB Power Poles) And then there is the dilema about which Li Po battery charger to get (have to have Li Po specific charger) The list goes on and on... Like fly recommends, a LOT of reading. Li Pos can be real nasty and cause a lot of damage if mishandled, but from what I've read it seems that most were caused by user error, just be safe (real safe) and everything should be OK (and a whole lot more fun flying)

Try not to get a lipo without the correct connecters. Lipos are highly dangerous.
