Radio Gear Swap

Here is my question I’d like to throw out there:

I have a FlyZone Piper J-3 Cub with the Tactic 4 channel radio and the standard Tactic TSC600 6-7 cell 15 Amp speed control the plane came with. What I would like to do is modify my Hobbyzone Cub with ailerons and install the Tactic radio package from my FlyZone Cub.

I’ve been using the 8 cell Hobbyzone batteries in my Cub with the stock motor. Do you guys think I could use the Tactic radio and speed control in my Hobbyzone Cub with the stock motor and 8 cell Hobbyzone batteries? Would the Tactic SC hold up?

Well, I made the swap. Ops checked the SC and all is working well. Will continue making the swap tomorrow night. Plan on adding ailerons this weekend.

The radio swap is complete. Aileron mod complete and ops ck’d good. Test flight may be this afternoon. Here are a few pics.....

Is that a sleeved cable that actuates the ailerons?

I just removed the Tactic gear from the Flyzone J3 I have, and am getting it rigged up with Spektrum, to learn to fly ailerons, I still have the stock gear in my Cub, but I do plan to build up another fuselage to mount my floats on prior to summer.
