Well Bill your definatley going to need to order some blades for that thing right away. hehe....ask swampfox how the learning phase is going with him...I sent plenty of blades but I think he has them all looking chewy already.....lol. Sorry swampy but I had to. Good luck with it and remember to always call the dog in the room when practicing. Right Todd?

Hey Kevin! I know this is late, but you were right!! Gonna be ordering up a bunch of rotor blades, although, have had it over a month, and only have replaced one blade! Need some now though, so 2 and 3! Not so bad!Still curious about the dog though!! lol

LOl poor dog. Swampy hits his all the time. You must of got the hang of it pretty good for only wrecking one blade. Man I wrecked several on the first day. Good to hear it is working out for you. Enjoy! Kevin

Yea my old dog is having a bad summer. He's been hit with the Super Cub twice, the Blade helicopter at least three times and my 10 year old son ran over him with a go cart and broke his leg. Poor dog.

The poor thing!! Just be careful swampy, don't want him hiding under the car when he hears something mechanical start!! lol ...Your son must have felt aweful....the poor kid! And yes Kevin..am having fun! I find the battery dies really quick though, will hardly get airbourne after just a few minutes. Did have it about 15 feet straight overhead at one point..was really glad to get back on the ground in one piece!

Found the altitude prob! First was the swashplate..replaced..stii could not get more than a few feet off the ground. Did some trouble shooting and found the rear motor was toast. Got that replaced, then one of the loops that hold the flybar in place broke..too many bad landings. Now can go through many battery packs nose out, and am working on the nose in.Still have not destoyed too many rotor blades, and in a 6' x 6' space at floor level..feel pretty good about the learning curve. Swampy! How is the dog doing?? And Kevin...You're soon have to construct an outbuilding just to hold all them planes!! They don't seem to be getting any smaller!

Those are tons of fun. I had a Blade CX2 for about 4-5 months before it started to get a little boring. I then went to a HeliMax MX450 and have been flying that for about 6 months. Still can't do a decent nose in hover with the darned thing.
If you do decide to go with a CCPM or other heli do your research and spend the money on a decent flight simulator, that really seemed to help me.

zeta30..Thanks for the advice! Have been thinking on a simulator for awhile now. Not only would it help with the helis, but think before moving up to four channel planes, would like to get some sim experience. Have had to replace a motor, and the swash plates don't seem to hold up well. On my third now. Still have only replaced the blades three times, but my son..who's 28, has had some not too soft tail landings, so may get a new fuselage. In the meantime, will read reviews and make sure I make the best choice for my next heli.

Man once you go 4 channel you'll wonder why you didn't sooner. It is so much easier to fly with that more control. Kevin

Now that the RealFlight G4's have been announced you can pick up a G3.5 sim for pretty good price. I have a G3.5 and really enjoy it. It has helped both with my Heli and Airplane flying.
I can't begin to say how much the Sim has helped regarding orientation I'm now practicing knife edges on the sim. (not that either of my planes will do a knife edge, but someday I'll get one that does).
