I'm in the middle of my B/L conversion, and would like to stick the ESC in the cowl to ensure a good airflow over it. However this raises a problem in that the battery leads on the ESC are not long enough to feed back to where the battery leads are/will be. This is easily solved by making an extension lead that connects to the ESC, with a deans at the other end for the Lipo connection.
I don't have any RC model wiring spare (such as it attached to the ESC and Lipo's) but do have various house wiring from some DIY projects, rated as 30A or 45A (240V). I suspect that some of this would suffice for this extension but wonder if there is anything special about RC power wiring that this may not conform too. I'd strip out the Red and Black wires and bin the rest to cut down the weigh.
Does anyone have an opinion of this, or have used this sort of stuff before?
This may save me a few pence and a trip to a LHS (hobby or hardware)....
