it wasn't really any different than putting it over the bare foam. i dont know why people worry about air bubbles, as i didnt have any. you can see that when heat is applied to some areas the foam takes on a different texture under the covering, which is what i believe some people would call bubbling. it doesnt bother me...i actually think it looks kind of cool.
thanks for all the great response. i already braved the 26 degree temps to get the tail pieces and cowls painted (spray cans really dont like the cold...) and now im off to the basement to finish covering the top!

Your work is outstanding! How did you cut the ailerons out of the wing so neatly?

i just measured and then measured again just to be sure. then i taped a square onto the wing and cut down about 3 times with a brand new #11 blade, being sure that i was keeping the blade flat against my straight edge. i used a new blade for each aileron, as the foam will dull them quickly.
