Since an still using the stock can motor with my aileron mod i will be running 4 servos, and my brushed ESC's BEC would only cover up to 3 servos. i opted to purchase the castle creations external BEC. i soldered it onto my deans (yay!), plugged everything in and all is well.

my question is, what port should i plug the BEC into on my RX. my choices are : Gear or Batt/Aux1. Im assuming it is the batt/aux port. just looking for a clarification....

Well any empty channel would work. But use the designated batt channel if it is empty.

hmmmmmm......i just looked at my manual for flaperon setup, and it says that I need to use that Aux.1 channel for the second servo. you can inhibit the gear channel from recieving instruction form the respective transmitter switch, so maybe i should do that? hen you say any channel will work, does that mean I can plug the BEC into my gear port, which im not using? if not I guess i would have to get a Y-harness
