Lightflightrc.com is great for suppo motors and ESC (decent quality) and Corona RX (very good quality. For top notch RX I like the Bergs: b-p-p.com/home.php?cat=18Stay away from blue arrow. blue bird, and GWS are marginal. No fly buddies you can do some component swapping to isolate the problem? fly

ok i called CC and they have a replacement ESC on the way.
it is definitely a problem with the ESC or RX. i plugged the ESC into the batt/aux. 1 port of the RX and put the rudder servo in the throttle slot to make sure that channel was working properly. when plugged in the battery the throttle still engages even though a servo is plugged into the throttle slot instead of the ESC. i think this is the key to the problem
going from no throttle the servo rotates down 45 degrees when put to full throttle. it will not rotate in 45 degrees in the other direction, but i believe this is to be expected because the stick is designed for a ESC throttle, not a servo (ESC connector goes to throttle slot right?)
again, the throttle still initiates instantly even though the ESC is not put in the throttle slot. maybe an RX problem? not sure if what im saying makes any sense, but let me know what you think

I'm not sure, but would have to think that the servo should move proportional to the stick movement. If this servo was hooked up to a gas engine carb, that is what I would expect.

ok i got the new pixie, soldered on the deans, and walah! after resetting the model i have a working system!
i guess it must have been the ESC. could have been a factory glitch. as for castle creations, their customer service is great - very reasonable if you ever have a problem with one of their products.
i will let anyone know if i have the same problems again. i hope i wont be back at this thread
thanks all for your input

Instead of worrying about LVC why not just plan on a dead stick everytime thats how I role. You get maximum flight time that way. ;D I have a long history of Sailplanes both RC and Full scale so I'm used to having one chance to land successfully. The cub glides very well.
