i am currently in the process of redoing my cub electrics and pulled out the stock motor today to have a deans soldered on. if you look at your stock setup you will notice that the two wires that supply power to the motor from the ESC go under the motor and into the fuse. i discovered that one of my wires had become partially severed because of chaffing of the wire on the bottom of the sharp edge of the motor. if some of you are having problems with your motor cutting out this could be your problem. i simply soldered on a new 16 gauge connecting wire and now im fine. i also took some electrical tape and taped around the new wires where they rub against the bottom of the can. walah! problem solved!
hope this helps solve a few problems

While it isn't 'wrong' the convention is Deans on the battery > ESC, bullets on the motor > ESC. Some folks actually use bullets for Battery > ESC. EC3's are basically bullets but with better shielding. Some folks find bullets easier to solder.

i really just wanted deans for the convenience. i dont like dealing with the heat-shrink thing or whatever it is that covers the connection on bullets
