I've had my cowl off so many time, I don't want to think about it.
Mine is a real B to put on, It's a pain to line up the holes.
I drilled out he holes in the cowl big enough that the screws just slip through. I't made things so much easier I was stunned.
I used to have to fight and mess around just to find the holes in the firewall, peering through the tiny holes in the cowl.
Now, it's a quick poke, with my handy magnetic screwdriver ( never scrimp on your screwdrivers, buy properly sized professional grade) a few twists, and I'm back in the sky.

I stuck a black Sharpie (permanent marker) into the holes in the firewall and twisted it a bit. I can see when the holes line up now. Drilling them out a tad would make it even easier. E

Great Idea Duck, especially for those of us who (ahem) who just can't break down and accept the fact that bifocals are a fact of life ;D Your dead on about good screwdrivers..money well spent.
