After reading on the forum about people using lipo’s and the stock motor, I bought a couple of 3cell 11.1v 1500mah lipo’s to try. With the jumper removed it runs for about a minute at full throttle then the motor cuts out. It runs ok at half throttle, and cuts out again if you give it any more than half throttle.
Is this because with the standard prop it’s drawing too many amps. I have purchased a couple of 10x6 props from different manufactures and waiting for them to come..hope this fixes the problem. I have not heard anyone else mention this when trying lipo’s.
GG.

how many c is the battery? you could be over amping the battery causing it to sag below the 9 volt cut off.

I have had great success with the Rhino 1050 in both the 20c and 30c. My Cub on foam floats would barely get off the water with the stock batteries. It jumps off with the lipo and I regularly get at least 10 minutes of shooting splash and dashes. My other Cub on wheels jumps off the ground with these.

What battery? What charger? You SURE they are charged? Anyway of checking?
The stock prop is TOO MUCH for the electrics on 3S. Use at your foam's peril.
Not all 10x6 are the same!!!! The stock prop is a slow fly-fat blade. These eat a LOT more amps than an e-prop (skinnier). The props for 3S are a GWS 10x6 HD or an APCe 10x5. They look TOTALLY different but function almost exactly the same down to the watt.
