 HI ALL I have an old mustang, channel 5 same as my cub. i want to go lipo. can i replace the cubs electrics with the mustangs and use lipo with out having to pull out any jumpers like on the cub  will 2 cell lipo from a blade cx 2 heli work cheers all

the 2 cell will not supply enough voltage, and the battery's on the cx2 are i think 800mah, which arnt really big enough for the cub. that battery is only rated at 10c, so 10x.8= 8, which means that battery can only safely supply 8 amps, and the cub uses between 12-14 amps with lipos. another problem with 2 cell's is that your only getting 7.4 volts, which is lower then the stock battery which is bad because your motor will not spin as fast and you will lose performance. ideally a good battery will be 3 cell, 1200mah to as large as you want that can deliver at least 15 amps.

hobbycity.com has really good deals on batterys I just got some 3 cell 2150mah 20c lipos for 24 dollars a piece.
