Just cut a piece of wire the length you want, usually about 3 inches or so. Then make a "Z" bend at one end. The cut your cf to the lenth you want. Also have a piece of shrink wrap the appropriate size to shrink over the 2 and make them tight. Before attaching them with shrink wrap add a few drops of ca glue. Then shrink it and let it sit for a few minutes before pulling to test it's strength. Make sure you do eventually pull test. If it fails it's better that it does it now then when up.
You can do the same to the other end or just use a piece of straight wire and make the needed bend later or use dubro e/z connectors or anything you want for the other end. That was a run on sentence for sure..
