Well here is the deal of the year for me. I came across this in a news letter from a near by club. The fella only flew it 6 times and wanted to fly sportier planes....so I scooped it right up. It has 4 OS .26FS engines and all servo's installed. It has a 77in wingspan and looks beautiful from where I sit. Guess what I paid for it. Kevin PS....no it's not leaking oil.

Ok did you read my post on RCU? lol Yes it was 200 bucks. The motors cost 130 a piece and someone took the time to kit build it!

Mighty fine Mr. M looks like you got THE DEAL of the century. Does each motor need it's own throttle servo and/or Rx channel ? I'll be watchin for updates. bombs away ! M

Believe it or not there are only 4 servo's in it. One for all throttles, one for ailerons, one for rudder and one for elevator. In order to sync the engine you just use the high speed needle. I haven't had time to fire it up yet. When I do I will get a recording (vid) of it running. May not fly it right away due to my no brainer moves sometimes but in good time she will fly. Another problem is our field. It is bumpy and has a bunch of clods. Our other field is so dang planted with grass like a golf gourse it is hard to roll out. There is always a guy with a lawmower to shorted up a spot for takeoff. I should get some vid of landings there. They are short! The planes act like they hit the brakes.

It's a Royal Kit. Can't wait to run it let alone fly it. I think I may trainer cord with the guy I bought it from for the first take off and landing. Just to be safe.

Well I stuck a rx and battery in this bird a few weeks back and programed the radio and trims and such. Then I put it on the back burner again for a while. Today I dusted it off and fueled it up for an attempt at getting 4 engines running in sync. I was amazed that it took only one flip of the starter to fire each one up! Hoo yeah! I got them all tuned and tach'd one at a time then fired them all up and let em rip.....SCHWING!!! I love the sound of 4 engine aircraft! I may just fire it up each day for a thrill and shut it off and repeat daily.....who knows how much of a warbird pilot I am...I know the last time was a rotton one....killed my pilot in under 15 seconds. Poor guy didn;t even get off the runway! I gave him a proper buriel at least....yup the P-51....grrr.....I hate/love that plane.......
I will take a video of it next time I fire it up so you's can hear the sound of it.
