Does it really take a full 2 hours to charge the stock 7-cell? I have a Hobbico charger laying around what would charge a 6-cell pack in about 40 minutes. Do you think I can stick a 1000mah 8-cell on that charger? How long does it take the SC wall charger to usually charge an 8cell pack?

it depends at what rate you charge it at. if you have a 1000mah battery and charge at 1amp, or 1c it should take an hour. if you charge at 2amps or 2c it should only take 30 min, but its not good for the battery. only thing you need to make sure of it the hobbico charger will support the higher voltage out put of the 8 cell battery.
