Ok 1st. Will this motor www.advantagehobby.com/product.php?productid=56420&cat=352&page=1work as a replacement with no mods needed? 2nd Is there any brushless motor out there than can be intalled without having to make mods on the physical plane itself, ie cutting glueing ect. for installation, not including mods to electronics for esc and things.

Motor appears the same. Gearing is almost certainly different.
Someone dropped in a Typhoon inrunner. Same problem, different gearing. They didn't realize the power would be substantially different and burned it up.
There are no simple complete conversions. All of them take some creative thinking and building. The Cub is great for what it was built. Personally I think when you are ready for a big upgrade try something else (Minimag, eStarter, SmoothE) unless you really want the conversion experience itself.
